Miradort : report your internet outages Screenshots

"Sometimes I can no longer connect to the internet: even though I have touched nothing except the browser icon. But something is wrong with my modem, the flash off and on, go out or change colour. The screen on the box stays stuck on "searching for DSLAM", etc.. '

Then there come the questions:
Why is my box is stuck on one action?
Why do the lights on my box not work as usual?
Is there a general internet outage in my city or neighbourhood?
Why can I no longer connect to the Internet?
When can I connect to the web again?;
Have I done something I shouldn't have?
The application may be able to answer some of these questions thanks to the tools provided to users.

Miradort * offers you the opportunity to report your internet outage (via your 3G or 4G telephone connection). You informed the details shown on your modem or router and shares them on your social network via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail. These are then collated to form a map, which will then provide a clear overview of where users are experiencing internet outages and how many users are having the same problem.

The application will allow you to make other users aware of your internet outage by posting the name of your ISP, the type of modem you have, a photograph of the information on your modem screen and an explanation of the specific nature of the problem. These details will also be provided in the form of a map, thanks to Miradort's geo-localization capabilities.

You also have a real-time view of the reports filed by the other users, so you can comment on them. You can help them to resolve their problem or just discuss the outage with the person who reported it (and they can discuss it with you).

So, the more people who use Miradort for to communicate their internet outages the more detailed a view its users have of how well the Internet is working in their city, region or country or in the world as a whole. Each response leads to a solution, thus everyone can help each other and try to find out if the source of the problem lies with you or with your ISP.
